Handbook for Research & Sponsored Activity
The handbook seeks to support the University's research effort by providing guidance regarding the development and administration of sponsored projects; inform investigators of their roles and responsibilities in research administration and compliance, and to indicate the roles of staff in supporting the research effort.
This handbook is a compendium of official statements, procedures, and guidelines. Every attempt is made to keep this information current and readers must rely on links which are referenced throughout the document. As this handbook is intended to be an evolving reference work and may be updated frequently, please check updates to make sure you are working off of the latest information.

Budgeting Software as Equipment
6.2.1.4 Equipment now references University policy 3-043 which requires software packages and associated licenses and/or costs incurred to develop and implement software to equal or exceed $100k in order to be budgeted as equipment

SL VA F&A Rates
6.3.1.2.a Generally Accepted F&A Waivers updated to include the Salt Lake Office of Veterans Affairs. The University will accept zero F&A on Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) agreements and 5% TDC on other non-federal agreements without requiring an F&A waiver
